Does anybody have any information or experience with yoga? I would love to start doing yoga but I don't know much about it

    Re: YOGA

I enjoy yoga, KTeacher!  The local gym that I belong to offers a very basic yoga class a few times a week, and I love to attend when I am able.  It is very easy to follow and not overwhelming at all.  I would definetly check it out!  You can very easily participate at a level that is comfortable to you.

Also worth mentioning is Bikram yoga - which is a bit more advanced.  Bikram yoga takes place in a room heated to about 110 degrees!  It is very intense, but worth looking into - it's quite an experience!  Be sure to do research and find a studio that welcomes those who are new to Bikram, though.  The first time I participated, I left the room a few times to cool down - and I felt fully supported and not uncomfortable at all!

Thanks for the information! i always wanted to do yoga and that other yoga you mentioned seems fun...I have been working out since I was about 25 years old. Hard to keep up when you have kids but I definately look at it as a great hobby now! Even though it is hard to go after teaching 21 five year olds all day, it still feels great at the end of the day! i am definately going to look into yoga at my gym thank you!
