    The Cruel Truth

a friend of mine has this disorder and it leaves her in excruciating pain all of the time. She has to take water pills to help which makes her constantly have to pee and at one point she was prescribed oxycotons. It let her to an addicition where she eventually was emmited to with draw from the pills. Ever since it has kicked in her life has been filled with pain. If anyone has any other ideas that i could give her to help her cope with the pain im all ears.

Im sorta in the same boat as you. I have a son that is addicted to these precription durgs. People think its ok to take because the goverment isses them. They are the worst thing going. I hear they call the oxycotons "hillbilly herion" and it is my son is so messed up. i tryed to help him but he has to help himself. If you have helpful hints that could wien my son of this drug I would be forever indebted to you. How many oxycotons was she prescribed? I think some of these doctors should be going to jail for the stuff they prescribe.

first, for those who do not know...oxy is FABULOUS! it will make you feel like a superhero. just take one and you will feel better than you ever have, you will have energy and not hurt anywhere (for a couple days even)!!!

when it wears off however, you will hurt worse than you did to start with. even after just 1 pill 1 time. your whole body will ache, more than it did to start with.  and if you have any sense you will NOT take another.  give it a couple days and you will be back to where you started.

it is easy to see how you can be addicted, especially if you have any degree of discomfort every day.  you are your only friend..be honest with yourself... you have to see it for what it is (the drugs).  even vicodin, to me, are little better than ibuprofin, but make you feel a whole lot worse when you stop taking them. and not worth the additional hurt while waiting them out.

fm, as i have been diagnosed with, is pain (it can sometimes appear as rheumatoid arthritis)  has certain stress points and can induce pain throughout your whole body, all or part.  i have found the best bet is a hot bath and suck it up.  exercise is advised, but it is hard to exercise when you are hurting all over.

take a hot shower and keep busy...

got to love the 69 mets!!!
